Bulgaria Customs Information – HHGlogistics
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
- Copy of passport
- Original copy of work permit
- Issued certificate from the Ministry of the Interior including the identification number (Residence Permit)
- Letter from employer confirming work transfer; must declare how long employee has been working abroad
- Letter of attorney
- Inventory written in English, signed and dated by customer
- Include all electrical and electronic devices, as well as their names and serial numbers
- Paintings should be described and listed separately
- Letter of authorization allowing shipping service to deal with customs clearance, must be verified by a notary
CUSTOMS REGULATIONS
- Allowed to import household goods up to 3 months after customers arrival
RESTRICTED ITEMS/DUTIABLE
- Equipment and machinery
- Plants require a certificate of health from the Ministry of Agriculture
- Liquor: 2 bottles of wine or one bottle of hard liquor equaling 20% or more alcohol by volume allowed. If more alcohol is found than allowed by customs authorities, all alcohol will be confiscated.

MOTOR VEHICLES
- Only one motor vehicle can be imported duty-free
- Requires: proof of ownership, foreign registration card, visa, national drivers license, and international insurance policy (green card).
